Founded by Jamaican-born, award-winning chef Roshika Forrest, Queen Sheeks is the realisation of a dream that began in childhood — a dream of creating a Jamaican restaurant where food, culture and community come together.
Today, that vision is coming to life through our restaurant pop-ups, thoughtfully crafted dining experiences and authentic Jamaican cooking, as we work towards opening our permanent home.

Every great dream has a beginning. Mine began long before the first Queen Sheeks restaurant pop-up.
Born in Kingston, Jamaica, my love for food, family and the traditions that bring people together began at an early age.
Even as a child, I dreamed of opening my own restaurant — somewhere I could celebrate Jamaican cuisine, share the flavours of my heritage and make people feel welcome through food.
When I moved to England at just seven years old, that dream travelled with me. Although my surroundings changed, my Jamaican roots remained a part of who I was and the future I wanted to create.

Family has always been at the heart of Queen Sheeks.
My father and grandfather are an important part of the inspiration behind my journey. Their love, influence and the values they instilled in me have helped shape the woman and chef I am today.
Queen Sheeks represents more than my ambition to open a restaurant. It represents where I come from, the people who have inspired me and the legacy I hope to build through food, culture and hospitality.
I want to create a place where people feel welcomed, where memories are made around the table and where every dish carries the warmth and love that inspired this dream.
In January 2026, Queen Sheeks began bringing my restaurant vision to life through pop-up dining experiences, allowing guests to enjoy the food and hospitality I hope to offer one day in a permanent restaurant.
Along the way, Queen Sheeks has also brought Jamaican and Caribbean-inspired flavours to corporate workplaces, private events and cultural celebrations.
In September 2026, I proudly reached the final of the British Street Food Awards and achieved third place overall — a milestone that reminded me just how far this childhood dream has come.
